Effective Date: October 15, 2026 • Formulated for Google AdSense & Global Privacy Standards • Version 2.5

Our Privacy Commitment: Privacy by Design & Transparent Operations

At YouTube Transkript (youtubetranskript.com), your privacy is our primary engineering principle. We believe software tools should be accessible without sacrificing confidentiality. This Privacy Policy outlines what information is collected, how advertising partners like Google AdSense deliver relevant advertisements, how cookies operate, and how your rights under the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and COPPA are safeguarded.

1. Data Controller & Contact Information

The data controller responsible for the processing of data on this website under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and international privacy frameworks is:

YouTube Transkript — Digital Tools & Utilities Platform

Data Protection Officer / Privacy Officer: [email protected]

General Support & Help Desk: [email protected]

Official Website: https://youtubetranskript.com

2. Google AdSense, DoubleClick DART Cookies & Advertising Partners

To support free access to our transcription tools, we display advertisements provided by Google AdSense (operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; for EEA and Swiss residents: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and affiliated advertising networks.

In compliance with Google's Publisher Policies and digital privacy mandates, please review the following disclosures:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites on the Internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partner networks to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites across the Internet.
  • Opting Out of Personalized Advertising: Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google's official Ads Settings:
    https://adssettings.google.com/
  • Additionally, you may opt out of third-party personalized advertising cookies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) consumer choice page at www.aboutads.info/choices/, through the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at optout.networkadvertising.org/, or for European residents via www.youronlinechoices.com/.

Note on Third-Party Ad Servers: Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are sent directly to users' browsers when ads appear. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize advertising content. YouTube Transkript has no access to or control over these cookies used by third-party advertisers.

3. Server Log Files & Technical Analytics

Like standard web services, our web hosting infrastructure automatically gathers technical connection information transmitted by your web browser in server log files. This standard technical data includes:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address (truncated/anonymized where applicable)
  • Browser brand, rendering engine, and exact version
  • Operating system and device environment
  • Referring URL and exit pages
  • Date, time stamp, and duration of the server request
  • HTTP status code and volume of bytes transferred

This technical information is not combined with personal data from other sources. It is processed pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in maintaining web server stability, diagnosing technical faults, and defending against malicious cyberattacks or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) incidents.

4. In-Memory Subtitle Processing (Zero Data Logging)

Unlike web tools that store user activities in persistent databases, our transcription pipeline adheres to strict data minimization:

  1. No User Registration: You are never asked to create an account, register, or disclose your name, email, or telephone number to generate transcripts.
  2. Ephemeral RAM Processing: When you provide a YouTube URL or video ID, our stateless endpoint queries public caption streams made available by the video publisher on YouTube. Subtitle XML/JSON tokens are parsed in volatile memory (RAM) solely for the instant request.
  3. No Query History Logging: We do not store a database linking your IP address or session to the videos you convert, the creators you watch, or the keywords you search.
  4. Client-Side Exports: Actions such as "Copy Transcript", "Download TXT", "Download SRT", and "Download Markdown" are compiled inside your local browser sandbox using standard Web APIs. No exported files are re-uploaded to our servers.

5. Comprehensive Cookie Classification & Web Storage

Cookies and browser storage mechanisms (localStorage) are categorized by purpose as follows:

Cookie / Storage TypeOrigin & PurposeDurationLegal Basis
Essential Preferences (First-Party)Stores user theme choice (theme: "dark" | "light") and preferred UI language in local browser storage.Persistent until browser cache is clearedLegitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

  • Non-Discrimination: We will never deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service to users who exercise their statutory privacy rights.
  • Global Privacy Control: Our service honors opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) sent by compatible browsers.

8. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA Compliance)

Protecting the safety and privacy of young children online is of vital importance. Our website and transcription utilities are not directed to children under the age of 13 (in the United States) or under 16 (in the European Union).

We do not knowingly collect, request, or maintain personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided personal information to our website without verifiable parental consent, please contact us immediately at [email protected], and we will promptly purge the data from our records.

9. Information Security & End-to-End TLS 1.3 Encryption

We employ industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect website interactions. All traffic between your browser and our servers is secured using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 / TLS 1.3) with 256-bit HTTPS encryption. This prevents eavesdropping, tampering, and unauthorized data interception across public and private networks.
